How Do You Mistreat Yourself? [ep-104]

May 16th, 2019

Hey love,

I hear from so many of you that you want to know more about me.

I love reading and whenever I pick up a new book the first thing I do is go straight to the acknowledgments portion because that's where I the 'real' person lives.

So I get it.

Today on the podcast I share more about myself, my journey and my health mission.

I talk about:

  • The various ways in which I see women mistreating themselves as women, wives, and mothers.
  • How my maternal lineage influenced me and why I didn't want my daughters to end up like them.
  • My motherhood journey and the healing I've experienced in that (still do).
  • My 'eat-pray-love' moment and what came out of that.
  • My mission as an embodiment coach for women.
  • My approach and how it looks like to work with me.

I hope you can find yourself in my story and know that you are not alone!

Whether you struggle with your relationships with people (parenting, marriage), your relationship with money (not clear what to do with your life/time, scarcity mindset, money wounds, etc), or with your relationship with your body and health, I want you to know that this can change.

All you need to do is decide.

Say "yes" to yourself.

Open your mind.

Slow down and listen.

Ask for help and wait.

It will happen.

Your feminine energy doesn't travel in the speed of Google. It needs time to simmer and cook before it manifests.

You got this!

If you're ready to say 'yes' to yourself (or willing to open your mind to it), head on over to my website and schedule a quick coffee chat with me.

I'm happy to hold space for you and help you create a plan of action in your way to change and heal from past conditioning and find the true you ;)

Ohh, and forgot to add, it's free.

You're welcome.

Sending you much love & healing,

“What If My Husband Would Want Time Off Too? I Can’t Handle The Kids All By Myself!” [ep-102]

May 2nd, 2019

Hey mama,

Today on the show I am doing a follow up from last episode (ep-101) where I talked about how to sleep in with a clean conscious and without responsibilities for just one day.

So many of you resonated with this message and I'm so glad!

One message I've received really touched my heart, so I am responding to it today:

Here's what one mama wrote:

"Thank you for the podcast! I understand you now! I will have to work on myself to get the guts to do something like that, or at the very least have a half day to myself. Confession, I know if I would do it, my husband will want to as well. Not sure I can handle the kids on my own for a full day and overnight. This is so shameful to admit, I can't believe I am telling you this."

Today's show is my response to her.

Enjoy listening and let me know if you have any questions related to this topic. If there's enough interest, I might do a series of Q&A.

Sending you much love & healing,

What Do You Desire? [EP-100]

April 10th, 2019

Hey mama,

100 EPISODES!!! Can you believe?

Today I am celebrating our 100th episode by walking you through a powerful exercise that will help you feel more connected to yourself and to your "WHY".

Why do you do what you do? Why do you bother to become a better woman, wife, and mother? Why do you wake up early every day? Why do you buy healthy food? Why do you plan your meals? Why do you want the kids to eat healthily? Why do you buy books, listen to podcasts? Why do you hire coaches and healers? Why?

If like me, you want to live a life full of meaning, intent, and passion, this is the place to start.

I highly recommend listening to this show with a pen and paper (preferably a journal) as you will want to record the insights that are coming up for you.

If you are a recovering pleaser and "good girl" like I am, this will be very helpful.

Your desires and cravings matter, let's start by finding what they are.

If you want to jump on a call with me, head on over to and book a call with me, I will hold you accountable to your desire.

Sending you much love & healing!

How Being An Orthorexic Mom Wounded My Daughter (And How We’re Healing From It) [episode #98]

March 29th, 2019

Hey mama,

Today on the podcast I am sharing my journey recovering from orthorexia, how it interfered with my relationship with food, my marriage, parenting, social life and life in general.

I hear so many mothers who feel like they are "the food police" or "food Nazis" and that stands in the way of feeling good inside of their own homes. I know how that feels!

So let's talk about it.

Here's what we cover:

  • I explain what orthorexia is and how it is different than anorexia (both are eating disorders)
  • How to know if you have orthorexia (aka food puritan)?
  • My own journey of being orthorexia, and how this wounded my daughter and my relationship with my family
  • Our healing journey and how we have shifted since then.

If you are a mom who's feeling obsessed (or too controlling) of what her kids eat (or don't eat) you have got to listen to this episode!

I want you to know that you are not alone and you can get help!

The first step is to acknowledge you have this problem, start with listening to another mom sharing her experience (that would be me :)

I want to hear from you! In the comments, tell me how do you feel about feeding your kids? And How do you keep your sanity around healthy eating and living?

I hope this is helpful to you, and if it is please share it with a mom who needs to hear this.

Sending you much love & healing,

Letter To My Girls [ep-96]

March 13th, 2019

Hey mamas,

Today on the podcast I am reading a letter from a book called What I Told My Daughter - Lessons From Leaders On Raising The Next Generation Of Empowered Women.

This book was recommended to me by my client and really hit home with me.

As a mama of three girls and a daughter to a mother of three girls myself, the message of empowered womanhood and leadership resonates with me very much.

I believe that mothers are leaders as well as healers.

One of my highest goals is to raise my daughters to become more of who they are and teach them that femininity is a force of power, not weakness.

I believe that as mothers we can empower our daughters to become leaders in their own right without passing on the legacy of stress, burnout, and anxiety.

It is possible to create and help heal the world while feeling fulfilled, vibrant and alive yourself.

Speaking of which, I'd like to remind you that next week, Tuesday, March 19th, I will be hosting a webinar on healing from burnout, stress, overwhelm and anxiety.

Before we get to inspire our daughters, we have to practice these principles ourselves.

This webinar is a great start! Click here to join.

Wishing you a fabulous rest of the week!

Sending you much love & healing ;)

On Air Coaching - When Breastfeeding Competes With Your Business With Melissa (ep-89)

January 17th, 2019

Welcome to the show!

If you're new to me and to this show, this is where we talk about the intersection between your health as a woman & female, your sacred work in your home and with your family, as a wife and mother and how to tap into your life's work as a healer & creative using your divine feminine superpowers.

Today's on-air coaching call is actually one I wasn't even sure I want to share with the world because the topic is extremely touchy and sensitive in the life of a mother and you'll see, my advice for Melissa at the end is one you don't expect to hear from someone who advocates health.

Some of you know that I am a retired pediatric nutritionist and feeding children is something near and dear to my heart, so I had to sit a lot of time with the decision whether I should air it or not. I decided to air it because I am here to serve you and if there is one mama who's struggling with this I am sure there are many more out there who can resonate, so I had to remind myself that this is not about me and that playing small or "hiding" is not helpful to anyone.

Today you will meet Melissa who is a wife and mama of four boys under the age of 3 and her struggle with breastfeeding. Melissa is a photographer and loves her job and motherhood is something she is still learning to navigate and grow from.

Enjoy listening!!

Thank You, Rachel & David Hollis, But ‘No Thank You’ (ep-86)

December 14th, 2018

Today on the show I am sharing how I processed a recent incident of feeling jealous in my life. So this is going to sound like a bit of a rant mixed with some empowering content and of course, as always, actionable tasks for you at the end!

The point of this episode is to show you that you are not alone in feeling jealous of something someone else has and there's nothing shameful about admitting that.

Become aware of it and then take the necessary action to cope with your pain in a mature manner so that you can rise to your full and embodied potential as a woman, wife, and mother.

I am sharing my thought process and the decision I've had to take to unsubscribe from one of my favorite podcasts. I hope you'll take what you've learned here into your life and implement it.

Feeling small, inferior or ashamed is a choice! You don't have to keep bearing it like a cross. Protect yourself and your family from the villains that live in your head and become embodied, empowered and confident!

Sending you much love & healing,

Women Who Run With The Wolves (ep-83)

November 21st, 2018

Hey Divas,

Today on the podcast we are talking about the wild woman archetype and what it means to be a Wild Woman?

I keep hearing experts, healers, coaches, podcasters use the term 'wild woman' and honestly, I never fully understood what they mean.

Wild - meaning crazy, out of control, insane, sent loose?

Not really.

Today on the show I will share a great book that illuminated my understanding of what it means to live your life to the wildest and how this very archetype is behind the health of our families, communities and the world at large.

It all begins with you claiming your power, your fire, your belief in yourself, courageously, unashamedly, unapologetically paving the way to live your most authentic self.

If you're into poetry, storytelling, myths, fairy tales and other forms of sharing ideas and complex psychological theories, this episode is for you!

Do you love reading? I'd love to know what you've been reading lately, please share below :)

Enjoy listening!!

p.s. Today on the podcast I also share a new and exciting segment that is coming up on the show! I will be doing On-Air-Coaching Calls which are pre-recorded coaching calls with listeners of the show! This is your opportunity to be coached for free on my show (anonymously of course). If you are interested, book your time slot here:

Ep 77 - My Mom Made A Comment About My Body And That’s How I Responded…

October 9th, 2018

Today on the show I share an example of something hurtful my mom said over the weekend and how it affected my behavior and my food choices following that.

Food and eating are extremely emotional in nature and if we don't know how to control our thoughts  and emotions around this, we can easily find ourselves numbing with binge eating, excessive drinking, late-night eating, reserving to sweets and treats, etc, which only add to the negative feelings and perceptions of "not good enough".

From there it is a never-ending cycle of self-sabotaging and never feeling in control of your life.

Today I share five strategies you can use next time you are in a similar situation.

I would love to hear from you! How do you respond when confronted with negativity, criticism or judgment?

Sending you much love & healing!!

Ep 76 - Best Adaptogens/Herbs for Anxiety, Stress, Burnout and Overwhelm Induced By Motherhood

October 5th, 2018

If you are a holistic mama like I am, you are constantly on the lookout for natural remedies to help manage die-eases that are just a part of your mom/family life.

A new epidemic that I see happening is - overwhelm, burnout, stress (mostly emotional) and anxiety experienced by mothers that are attributed to the challenges of motherhood that is affecting our health big time!

There are so many things we have to juggle, like - keep these kids alive, feed them healthy, parent them with love and respect, give them a good education, keep our marriages alive and vibrant, manage our households efficiently and realizing that we don't really have control over most things is a huge trigger for many of you.

In most cases, taking care of yourself not only feels luxurious but also selfish and unrealistic, there's just not enough time in a day to do it all, right?

We all know what it feels like to be running on empty and not giving ourselves any time to refuel and replenish.

I get it. I am a mama as well.

Today on the show I am interviewing Jane Barlow, an herbalist who owns and runs Barlow Herbal Specialties. She lives in Salt Lake City where she enjoys hiking all over the mountains of Utah and teaching fitness classes. Jane loves everything natural, holistic, wellness, fitness, and nutrition oriented and believes it is our right as humans to be vibrantly healthy and that if given the right tools our body knows how to heal. She believes that each of us is responsible for ourselves and the love, joy, spiritual and physical health that we experience. Jane has two grown sons and two grandchildren.

Here's what we cover:

  • The definition of adaptogens
  • Which top three adaptogens are best for women who experience burnout, stress, overwhelm and anxiety?
  • What is the one herb we should all have to help our kids heal faster from any viral and bacterial infections and how to administer them?
  • Should we be taking adaptogens infinitely?
  • How to know which adaptogen is right specifically for you?
  • Are supplements necessary?

And much more!

September 24th, 2018

Today on the show I am chatting with my man, my husband, my best friend, the father of my girls.

Here's what we cover:

* What's the purpose of coaching?

* before and after coaching

* the difference between hiring a coach and learning from books or online programs

* how is investing in myself helped to enhance our relationship, parenting, and showing up for our lives?

* Artur's advice for the man in your life.
